Our Story

Welcome to the Table

Gather. Meet. Celebrate. Give Back.

Fireside Tavern has entered an exciting new chapter centered on what matters most: family, connection, and a deep-rooted commitment to the community.

Helen and Reese Harter took ownership in October 2024.

This renewed vision came to life in June 2025 with the launch of our monthly donation nights, a dedicated effort to give back to the local organizations and local events that make Strasburg and Lancaster County so incredibly special.

We cherish the relationships we’ve built with our customers and staff, and we are more committed than ever to creating meaningful experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.

As we look toward the future, we are thrilled to share new menus, seasonal specials, and countless memorable moments with you. We are truly grateful for your continued support and look forward to celebrating this journey together for many years to come.

Fueling Our Future: Power Packs Project

For our third monthly donation night, we turned our focus toward local students and families through the Power Packs Project. This incredible nonprofit serves Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties with a mission to end weekend hunger. Because children often lose access to free school meals over the weekend, Power Packs provides families with a fresh recipe, all the necessary ingredients, and nutritious staples like milk and produce.

By empowering families with the tools to create healthy meals at home, Power Packs ensures that children return to school on Monday well-fed and ready to learn. Thanks to our community’s generosity, Fireside Tavern raised $500.00 to help provide these essential weekend packs for our local kids. We are honored to support a program that nourishes both the bodies and the academic potential of the next generation.

Stronger Together: Strasburg Borough Police & National Night Out

A safe community is a connected one. We were honored to dedicate our monthly donation night to supporting the Strasburg Borough Police Department and the Strasburg Community National Night Out.

National Night Out is a vital nationwide campaign held at Strasburg Jaycee Park. Its mission is to enhance police-community partnerships and foster neighborhood camaraderie, encouraging residents to meet local first responders in a relaxed, positive environment. By bringing neighbors together, NNO helps reduce crime, increase vigilance, and build the lasting relationships that create a more resilient community.

To support these proactive efforts and our local officers' commitment to our safety, Fireside Tavern was proud to raise $375.00 for the Strasburg Borough Police Department. We are grateful to our customers for helping us invest in the people and programs that make Strasburg a secure and welcoming place for every family.

Pups on the Patio:
Supporting UDS Service Dogs
June 26, 2025

Our monthly donation nights kicked off with an unforgettable evening: Pups on the Patio. We were honored to host a fundraiser for United Disabilities Service (UDS) Dogs, where the stars of the show—the service dogs themselves—joined us to demonstrate their incredible skills. Led by the charming Ambassador Dog Clover, the pups socialized with guests and helped us share the importance of the work UDS does for our community. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a meal, Fireside Tavern was able to donate 5% of the evening's total sales, totaling $675.00 toward training future service companions. It was a perfect example of the "meaningful experiences" we strive to create, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to start this journey of giving back.
